We start again in Brescia, October 12th, with 3 cool conferences inside the Course of Prof Marco Mutinelli, of Ingegneria Gestionale, University of Brescia. In this Forum the attendees can discuss the conference themes to be selected for the Silicon Valley Study Tour 2012, August 26th- August 30th!

Friday night I was at Startup Weekend Brescia to hear the pitches and see how the event it's organized. I was very impressed. The atmosphere was beautiful! There were young people from various cities, mainly in northern Italy, all with the same passion.
I heard more then twenty pitches and some of them seemed to me very interesting but the minute of time available was little to expose clearly the ideas.
I regret about not attending the entire event because I'm sure it would be a great learning experience. 
I'm curious to know what will be the winning idea! Did someone else attended the event?

I was there today and all the ten ideas were good. obviously only 3 take the sponsorship
1. picstome (or a name alike)
app where you can post your decision and users can help you to take a choice.

 

2. MioQuartiere
app based into a narrow area, like quarters, where of you, your neighbours and local trader, can exchange performance, materials, offers and promote ideas.

3. peppertweet from WEBdeBS (realy crazy guys!)
app/site where you can take photo from tweeter and store them in a simple way.

Yes, I particularly remember the first one because I really liked the idea. The correct name I think it's Tipstome. I'm glad that it had the funding!

Could you tell me how many people have worked on the idea and what was the result of the weekend?

right! tipstome! on the idea work about 8 people. 
at the weekend have take part 110 people!
after the presentation of the pitches only ten of them were selected.
finally the jury has choose the best 3 that i've report on.

they have described the idea support it with business plan and info on this market, during the presentation they did an example:
if you are in a shop and you are waver between some colors of sunglasses, you can put on them and take some photos. send them to your friends or to the community and then wait for the choice. the app will give you a response with the preferences.
well, but how make money?
they explained that it is possible introduce before the choice, a banner of a company, for example Nike, that invite who wants to take part to your choice, to choose between some shoes. all of this with a simple tap and in a fast way.
so you can buy the sunglasses that also like to your friends or other people, and the companies can promote new products or doing market analysis.
