I've been really impressed by the experiences told by the students; the logos I saw and the name I heard represent places that always seem not to be so reachable, but now I know that it could be the possibility to directly visit them

Good morning to everybody! I had the same impression, I was surprised by the fact that the world of italian academy has so much links to many famous companies and that there are so many Italian people who contribute to their succes.

I completely agree with you! Beyond a shadow of a doubt this is an excellent opportunity for improve ours knowledge and, at the same time, is also a good showcase for us.

It's surprising to see how many Italian students have been able to "make the difference", promoting the development in the ICT area.
I was also impressed finding out about the existence of an enterprise such as Aizoon. I've taken a look at the web site, and it looks very catchy.
I hope these conferences will also represent an opportunity to get in touch with the most dynamic realities here in Genoa.

I agree Francesco, and I really hope we shall be part of those students who will try to "make the difference"! For this reason I think it's necessary having as many as possible experiences in other societies/communities. I think that the opportunity of listening to students of the past silicon valley study tours has been a great occasion for catching info of other "worlds" in the ICT area.

Hi guys,
yesterday I saw the whole power point...it would have been really interesting to see it together. There was a quotation I especially enjoyed: the one from Steve Jobs' oration during the ceremony of his honorary degree at Stanford University; "STAY HUNGRY, STAY FOOLISH" I think it could be a great way to live my working life in the future.

Hi everybody!

First of all, i'm really impressed by the oppurtunities that this initiative can give us.
The aspect that seems more remarkable in my opinion is that we can be in "real" touch with people having the experiences that we all wonder to have.
Then I want to use this opportunity, trying to start a real discussion.
I want to ask a question, expecially to the members of this social network who have been working in the Silicon valley context during last year.
What have been the strategies to react to the economic crisis?
(for example of what is happenging in italy see

Did something change during last year?
(I' m refering to the venture capitalist attitudes, and so on ...)

Hi guys,

according with your posts I would like to deepen the concept that Ing. Paolo Marenco has tried to explain us about the opportunity that Silicon Valley Study Tour gives us to "make A difference" instead to "make THE difference" because the major thing is that everyone knows to develop as best as he can what is his aptitude.

Like a wise old man says: "Se molti uomini di poco conto, facessero cose di poco conto, in posti di poco conto, il mondo cambierebbe!!!"

See you to the next conference...

Miky.

Hi everybody!
I'm answering you Michele because you "stealt" what I was going to write while I was reading Francesco and Federico's comments about the sentence "make the different". I can just say that I totally agree with you, cause I think that the difference from using A instead of THE is not just a matter of writing but als a matter of thinking, cause I think that if you have in mind to make THE different in a certain field, you may fall in the ambition to be the best and you could do too much obtaining not what you are looking for; while if you humbly start to make just A difference, maybe you have more possibilities to appear.
Anyway, as everyone wrote, I think that this is a very good opportunity to know one ofthe most important reality in the world of ICT, and maybe to become part of it.
see yu all...

thanks Miky for the detail....many people that "make a difference" can push a country ( for example) to "make the difference"......in US in these days we have this feeling...
question of Salvatore:
sure, many changes, many people fired ( without job) ..."venture capitalist" at the window...but those fired immediately think to a new start up or a MBA to improve their ability,...nobody stay steady...; also internship stopped by big groups ( i.e. Cisco)...but on the contrary: great push on clean tech, Stimulus funding from US Government to Sme's and public Research ( example LBL....good for Andrea, Raffaello, Alessandro Colonna ...maybe you are the next ;-)
