Permalink Reply by Cristina Licitri on January 17, 2012 at 6:43am In the last seminar the engineer Tulone and the professor La Commare showed a social reality that today belongs to us: we are living a real phenomenon called "brain drain" in which the most brilliant students prefer to emigrate from their homeland to get a "safe " job with minimal effort, rather than undertaking a new activity, as result of risk, sacrifice, enthusiasm and hard work as a team. Unfortunately, sometimes we lead a life of a daily routine and we don’t see outside of certain patterns and so we don’ t pay attention to the real opportunities (different from the traditional one ) those are presented to us.
These 4 seminars have allowed me to pause and think on this. It is certainly easier to follow the traditional way but it is certainly more gratifying to do what we really like.
Instead to take for granted that we will go away, we should ask ourselves how our knowledge and our skills can be used here, in the region where we were born and that formed us for who we are.
I thank the organizers for allowing us to attend such seminars and then give us a chance to reflect on this opportunity.

Permalink Reply by giulia triolo on January 18, 2012 at 7:46am I agree with you, Sara , as a first response when you say that your first thought was: "yes, i go to Milan," since even if a person has a 'business idea must first have a good esperinenza for not to make mistakes and burn this possibility. In fact, after doing a university project last year on the innovation of a product, I got to know with my university team the difficulties likely to arise and then succeed in entering the market, because competitors are increasingly and because the products may be similar at lower costs. So they agreed to do for a few years and foreign experiences after finding a team that will like me to develop my idea, put it into practice in Sicily. According to these academic projects you enough to be able to implement their own ideas or you must have prior work experience as employees?
