Hey Jacob,
sorry for answering very late, actually I has been out of Italy for a long time after my graduation and I'm reading your post right now. I don't have any useful info for your question, I can only suggest you to have a look at the website of the universities of Berkeley (i know they're quite open for international collaborations) and Standford. Good luck!
Ciao Stefano!
I would like to ask you for advice. But at first let me introduce myself. Currently I'm finishing Master in Sociology of Economy and Market Research/Marketing in Milan at Università Cattolica and I want to write thesis with researches about viral marketing and viral loops as trends in global marketing. I think that above all US and particularly Silicon Valley, where this phenomenon was born, is the right place.
This summer I'm going with Paolo Marenco to Silicon Valley for Study Tour so it can be large chance for me to familiarize myself with the topic. But to do researches I'm looking for thesis internship or stage. Unfortunately my university doesn't have that kind of programs, so I must find the place alone.
If you have any information about companies, research centers or university labs working in the field of market/economy and computer sciences (for ex. interdisciplinary labs but of course not only) or supporting students for thesis internships in this fields please let me know.
GRAZIE!
A presto!
Carlo Tedesco and Claudio Bartolini HP Labs Palo Alto, announce that calls for summer internship in HP Labs -Palo Alto are opening. Go to web site, if you apply send a message to Carlo Tedesco ( our Member) to support yr candidacy. To answer me " comment back"!!!
Hey Paolo! How are you doing?
I left a comment about my experience in the forum. Tell if you think it is suitable or not please. Andrea Vaccaro told me about the conference of vincentelli in Berkeley last month. I wasn't able to go but in any case thank you for the info. Andrea told me also about another conference with Cisco but he didn't tell me the details...is it drawing near? bye
