Java IDE Day... It was GREAT!!!

Far beyond our expectations, the JID that took place yesterday in our beloved B1 has been a great event! When we started thinging about this meeting, we hoped to bring at most 50-60 people... well, fortunately we rent B1 so that all the 130 java developers (and not!) that attended could find a place to sit! This is a big number, for a lot of reasons... Sun sponsors OS community innovation... and this time Italy is IN!!

Sun is going to contribute to Open Source with an effort of 1 million dollars shared by six OS communities such as OpenSolaris, NetBeans, OpenOffice. The awards will be given to the most interesting and innovating initiatives among those communities.
