Hi Sonia, thanks for adding me as a friend!! I am from Ravenna, what about you? Regarding the thesis, it was a really challenging experience, but also amazing! I think Oxford is quite unique... are you thinking of developing your thesis abroad?

I started this seminary because it allow me to gain 4 credits for my course of degree but after I began to love it because it's very interesting. We learn about startegies of growth of important companies of our geographical area, their history, and their politics of recruiting that can be very useful for when we'll get the degree.

I'd like to have you as a friend Sonia, but please confirm my request (^_^).

And now I try to answer to your questions...
Initially it wasn't my intention to work for GD. Everything happened unexpectedly. Now I feel very well, but the beginning was tough. I was like a warrior without armor. A engineering degree isn't enough if compared with the experience of G.D technicians working for ages for the company.

This is a G.D characteristic: who enters hardly looks for a job in another company, because the relationships among collegues are generally good (the turnover index is very low). And that happened to me too. But it doesn't mean I plan to root in Bologna forever. GD has branches worldwide and my desire to study and work abroad (like yours) can find satisfaction in one of the many branches G.D has throughout the world.

The relationship with the office staff, after the starting procedures, continues with initiatives directed to safety and training. There are many internal courses porpoused to empower technical and managerial skills. But, as I told you before, I found important to learn the secrets of my job from my colleagues.

I appreciate your idea to study English abroad. I want to do the same. I'll take a gap year at the end of my second degree in economics. G.D is favourable, because it's necessary for the company to get in touch with motivated and trained people all around the world.

Good luck Sonia for your future plans! See you at the next conferences.
